Florida State is the favorite to win the 2020 ACC Tournament, with 2020 ACC Tournament odds of +200

The Seminoles, 16-4, finished with the best record during the ACC regular season.

Since joining the ACC in 1991, Florida State has won the ACC Tournament just once (2012).

The latest ACC Tournament odds have Duke as the second choice (+250). The Blue Devils are the defending ACC Tournament champion. 

Duke, with an ACC record of 15-5, finished in a three-way tie for second place with Louisville and Virginia.

Due to the regular-season tiebreaker, Virginia has claimed the #2 seed, followed by Louisville and Duke, respectively.

Most shocking of all, North Carolina, who finished tied for last place in the ACC with a 6-14 conference mark, will be the 14th seed. Although they finished in last, North Carolina is the fifth choice with 2020 ACC Tournament odds of +2300.

Georgia Tech has dropped its appeal of a postseason ban and will not be eligible for either the ACC Tournament or the NCAA Tournament. The school has been placed on probation as a result of violations involving impermissible benefits.

Six teams have never won the ACC Tournament. Clemson, who joined the conference in 1953, is still seeking the school’s first tournament title. Virginia Tech (2004), Boston College (2005), Pittsburgh (2013), Syracuse (2013), and Louisville (2014) will also be looking to capture their first ACC Tournament championship.

The 15-team 2020 ACC Tournament begins Tuesday, March 10, with the ACC Tournament championship game being held Saturday, March 14. Greensboro, North Carolina will play host to the event for an ACC-leading 27th time.
