NASCAR Returns to the action without Fans

Auto Racing will be back in action from South Carolina and the event won't have fans but bettors can still follow the NASCAR Betting Odds. (AP)

NASCAR is back this weekend after being stuck in neutral for the last two months. The premier motor racing organization in the United States will cram four races into 11 days starting this Sunday at Darlington Raceway in South Carolina. NASCAR will hold two races in Darlington and two races in Charlotte before trying to resume its normal schedule. However, there are multiple contingency plans if trouble arises and that's been the norm lately.

Kyle Busch is the favorite this weekend as the defending NASCAR Cup Series Champion, but there are several drivers that have a good chance of winning this race. Daily Fantasy Sports is also a great wagering option and rotogrinders.com has all the betting options provided.

Busch is currently tied in 11th place in the NASCAR Cup Series standings, but he will be starting fourth this Sunday due to the random draw used to determine starting position. The two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion was knocked out of the Daytona 500 because of a wreck and finished in the middle of the pack in Las Vegas. However, he crossed the line in the top three at Fontana and Phoenix in his last two races prior to the stoppage.

The race favorite has finished in the top three in two of the last three years at Darlington, but he hasn’t won a NASCAR Cup Series race at this track since 2008. At these NASCAR Betting Odds, Busch is a stay away for bettors looking to score a big return.

Hamlin, Harvick expected to be in the hunt

Denny Hamlin is tied with Kevin Harvick as the driver with the second lowest NASCAR Betting Odds at FanDuel. The No. 11 driver is also tied with Busch in the points race coming into Sunday’s race. Hamlin will be starting 10th as he drew the short end of the stick in the draw, and the winner of back-to-back Daytona 500s is looking for a strong finish. Despite a disappointing performance at Darlington in 2019, Hamlin has two wins and six top four finishes at this track in the last 10 years. At 7/1 betting odds, he's worth a solid look on Sunday from South Carolina.

The 44-year-old Harvick is currently the points leader on the circuit. He has finished in the top ten in all four races to date, and he has run very well at Darlington. He has notched seven straight top ten finishes at this track, winning in 2014, and he has finished in the top five in six of the last seven years. Harvick is starting in the sixth spot, right beside teammate Aric Almirola.

The odds on Brad Keselowski to win Darlington have dropped considerably after he was awarded pole position for the race. Keselowski only has one top five finish thus far this season though, and while he won the 2018 race at Darlington, history isn't on his side. It’s been over a year since he last won a race, so stay away from him unless you are getting 10/1 odds (Bet $100 to win $1,000) or more.

NASCAR Predictions – Darlington

Joey Logano is a much better bet at the same price. Logano will be starting ninth, but he was in excellent form prior to the postponement. He won at Las Vegas and Phoenix earlier this season, and he has finished in the top five at Darlington in three of the last five years. The 2018 NASCAR Cup Series champion has never won here, but he is overdue considering his recent finishes.

The relative NASCAR Betting Odds longshot to keep an eye on in this race is Matt Di Benedetto. He is an unfamiliar name to casual fans, but he will be starting third this Sunday. He has yet to win a NASCAR Cup Series race, but he has 12 top tens and he has finished in the top 20 of every race thus far this season. Di Benedetto came in second place at Las Vegas, and at 26/1 betting odds, he is worth a shot.
