While the sports world is closely monitoring the coronavirus, there are still six NBA games planned for Wednesday evening. Let’s take a look at some NBA prop bets and NBA predictions and see if we can find some interesting options.

The last time these two teams played, we witnessed a crazy 140-135 double-overtime Hawks win. In that game, Trae Young had 48 points. The first of our NBA prop bets for Wednesday is Trae Young over 29.5 points (-106).

Young has 30 or more points in 30 of his 59 games this season, including a 42-point effort and the 48-point game we mentioned in two matchups vs the Knicks this season.

The New York Knicks have been better defensively under interim head coach Mike Miller but they've still been below average overall. The Knicks are allowing 112 points per game, 19th in the NBA. I expect the Hawks to play this game at their quick pace, as they did in the two matchups they’ve already played this year.

For our NBA prop bets, let’s also take Hawks big man John Collins over 22.5 points (+100). Collins is playing his best basketball of the season, averaging 25.8 points and 9.8 rebounds over his last nine games. Collins has also hinted that he’s motivated to earn a max-contract extension this summer, so expect the massive numbers to continue.

In the only game Collins played against the Knicks this season, the big man had 32 points on 10 of 14 from the floor.

Knicks vs Hawks predictions: Hawks (-5), over 231 points

The Knicks are coming off a loss Tuesday, so how will they respond playing in a back-to-back? Also, factor in the Hawks are fifth in the NBA in ranked pace (103 pace), so they are constantly up and down the court.

The two best players in this game are clearly Young and Collins by a wide margin, so let’s take the team with the best players who are more rested here with our NBA prop bets.

Pelicans vs Kings prop bets

Two surging teams looking to catch the Memphis Grizzlies for the last spot in the Western Conference playoffs, the New Orleans Pelicans and Sacramento Kings do battle Wednesday.

Let’s start our NBA prop bets off with Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball, who has had a breakout third season in the NBA.

Ball is -144 to have over 7.5 assists Wednesday night. The -144 line is not as lucrative as we normally would go for with our NBA prop bets but I’m super confident in Ball.

Ball has over seven assists in seven of his last eight games. It’s pretty hard to avoid any highlights lately of Ball crosscourt passes to Zion Williamson for a crazy dunk.

Speaking of Williamson, let’s look at some NBA prop bets for the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

After having his minutes built up to start his NBA career, Williamson is full go and helping the Pelicans climb in the standings. Williamson is -120 to have over 23.5 points Wednesday night against the Kings.

Williamson has 24 or more points in eight of his last 11 games. Also consider the Kings’ frontcourt defense, with Marvin Bagley still injured and Dewayne Dedmon getting his trade request granted and now blocking shots in Atlanta.

Williamson should have his way in the post with Ball feeding him assists all night long.

On the Kings’ side, consider Bogdan Bogdanovic under 15.5 points at -118. Bogdanovic’s minutes have fluctuated with Buddy Hield and the wing has over 15 points just twice over his last seven games.

Pelicans vs Kings predictions: Kings (-1.5), over 233 total points

Both teams enter play 3.5 games out of a playoff spot with an identical record of 28-36. With that said, I trust the Pelicans more here and believe Ball and Williamson will be difference makers.

Neither side plays much defense with the Pelicans allowing 117 points per game, 27th in the NBA. The Kings are below average defensively as well, so I expect this to be a quick-paced game which hits on the over of 233 total points.
